Yamaha Ray Z Regal red 2014 |
Yamaha has always been associated with mean sportsbikes , whether its the R1 , R6 , or the smaller R15 v2 It has always managed to stick to the faired end of the track . And that is when The Yamaha Ray comes along and sure enough everyone went A YAMAHA SCOOTER!!!
So did it live up to the expectations ? In a small way YES, And we were left appreciating the superb handling which over the years has become a trademark of Yamaha . Now Yamaha has brought along a Sportier version of the Ray , THE RAY Z for the male scooter riders
So what has changed ? Nothing big really , We expected the Ray Z to be a little bit bigger, But that didnt happen . The only noticeable change is that Yamaha introduced some really sporty graphics and a two tone color scheme ,which really look good on the scooter . The grab rails have been made sharper to give a much more sportier feel and the rear suspension is painted red .
PERFORMANCE
Yamaha Ray Z Specification |
The engine is basically same as that of the Ray . It is 113cc air-cooled producing maximum power of 7.1PS and Maximum torque of 8.1 Nm .The Ray Z gets an updated engine, having Throttle position sensor for better ignition timing , Low-Friction oil seal to improve efficiency and roller type rocker arms (Same is now available for Ray). The engine is crisp and beautiful, It handles like a charm and has a great suspension. The only downside we felt was with the Braking . Yamaha could have offered front disc brakes as an option atleast.
Yamaha Ray Z Specification |
The Ray Z is ideal for scooter loving youngster , looking for a sporty fun to ride motorcycle .The Ray Z is price competitively at 48555 /-
